Frequently Asked Questions
What is Hip and Elbow scoring?
All our breeding pairs are hip and elbow scored as well as being DNA and temprament tested, to ensure that our pups will go onto being happy and healthy members of your family.
Hip and elbow scoring is a procedure performed on the parents to check that their joints are in good condition and hopefully to identify any hereditary issues before they are added to our breeding stock.
What is DNA testing?
We DNA test our dogs using Embark’s DNA testing service. Results are available for purchases of our pups to give you comfort that your dog won’t suffer from any genetic diseases.
What is Puppy Culture training?

Puppy Scams – be careful
It’s unfortunate that that there are so many puppy scams currently active in Australia. In one government estimate, puppy scams cheat Australians out of at least $300,000 a year. The reporting rate for people who are scammed is unknown, possibly around 10%, meaning the real figure is likely to be much higher.

The only way to truly know whether a puppy advertisement is legitimate or not is to ask to visit and see the puppies. When we have a litter available, we contact our waiting list in a first come, first serve basis and invite them to visit and view the puppies. This works both ways, it gives the buyer assurance that the puppies are real, and it enables us to vet the new potential owners to ensure that they’re able to provide a suitable home for our pups. Anything less is an unnecessary risk – all reputable breeders should be willing to allow their prospective new owners to come and visit the pups before asking for a deposit. Don’t accept anything less.
